When You're Late But its Okay

Today my friends Susan, Karita and I had to be at a very important audition at Southbank at exactly 12pm sharp!....Naturally everything went wrong..... We woke up late, missed our bus, got lost and had to end up literally running through the streets of Brisbane in an effort not to be late!!! It was so important that we were on time. We couldn't believe we where going to leave the worst impression or potentially jeopardize everything!

But can you imagine it - three girls desperately clutching at their bags whilst sweating profusely through babydoll dresses in 35 degree heat, running across roads, dodging cars throughout the city! It seemed as if everything we against us. Whenever we tried to illegally J-Walk (dont judge us okay) police officers would drive by or a ridiculous amount of cars would get a green light! There was no point in hair and makeup because as you can imagine it all slowly melted off and our hair was frizzy and wind wipped! When we finally rounded the corner of the theater it was 12.06pm. We were 6 minutes late. I couldn't help but dread the awkward entrance and looks of despise we would shortly receive however we walked in only to find everyone else milling around and chatting. They hadn't started yet! We were so relieved! Thank the lord!  All that running, panicking and being frantic for nothing!

Always,
A
