Airports

Some may find this a horrid, painstakingly frustrating experience (with all the security checks, lugging around heavy bags, screaming bratty children, over priced coffee and soggy tomato, cheese and ham sandwiches)  but I love going to the airport!

I love checking in and sitting in my departure lounge watching people come and go. I love wondering where they have been, or where they are going and why? Is that family finally going away on that tropical island holiday they have saved the last 3 years for? Or is that girl running to her gate to visit her boyfriend who she hasn't seen in 6 months? Why is that old man travelling by himself...why does he look so sad? Is he travelling for a funeral perhaps? That woman with the brief case, I bet she is travelling for business and hates it because she will be away from her family.

The list goes on and on. I reminds us how different we all are, but also how similar we are at the same time. We all have different paths which take us in all sorts of directions but at the end of the day our paths cross and intertwine and we arent all that different at all.

Always,
A
