A Smile from a Stranger

A smile from a stranger is such a small, random act of kindness which I find instantly brightens up your day. There is nothing worse then battling your way down a busy Brisbane street, on a hot sticky day, lugging (whats seems to be) the weight of the world in university text books/groceries, to be met with the faces of similarly miserable people. Moving like ants along the crowded street, head slung, you're feeling down. However on that rare occasion you happen to make eye contact with another passer-byer, and the magical smile is exchanged, something about your mood just lifts. Don't ask me how or why, it just does. I guess it reminds you that there are other people out in that big bad world - and that you are not alone.

Always,
A
